Emergency Light Qualification Factors

The fire emergency lighting fixture passed the charge/discharge test. Failure to pass this test will affect the battery's cycle life and capacity, and may even lead to battery corrosion or explosion. Fire emergency lighting fixtures are essential facilities for personnel evacuation and firefighting during fires. If the over-discharge and over-charge protection circuits are substandard, it can easily cause hidden dangers. This is because some manufacturers simplify or even omit over-discharge and over-charge protection circuits in fire emergency lighting fixtures to reduce costs and the amount of electronic components and circuit boards used.

Main Components Perform Qualified. Fuses are installed in the circuit and are electrical components that ensure the safe operation of the circuit. When a circuit malfunctions or becomes abnormal, the current continuously increases, which may damage some electronic components in the circuit, burn out the circuit, or even cause a fire. If the fuse is correctly installed in the fire emergency lighting fixture circuit, the fuse will melt and cut off the current when the current abnormally rises to a certain level, thus protecting the safe operation of the circuit. Clearly marked current values on the fuses can prevent users from replacing the wrong fuse and causing unnecessary damage.

The withstand voltage test passed. The withstand voltage test is a crucial safety indicator for fire emergency lighting fixtures. Failure to pass this test could pose a risk of electric shock and endanger personal safety. The reasons for failure include insufficient creepage distance and flawed design in some products, leading to breakdown during the withstand voltage test. Once a breakdown occurs between the primary and secondary circuits, the voltage (220V) from the primary circuit will pass through the breakdown point to the secondary circuit, potentially causing electric shock, battery explosion, or fire.
