Suitable for: Theaters, shopping malls, hotels, banks, hospitals, apartments, civil defense projects, underground facilities, and other places requiring uninterrupted lighting.

Emergency lighting can be classified according to its working status and function. According to working status, it can be divided into three categories:
① Continuous emergency lights. Provide continuous lighting regardless of whether the normal lighting power supply is faulty.

② Non-continuous emergency lights. Provide lighting only when the normal lighting power supply fails.

③ Composite emergency lights. Emergency lighting fixtures contain two or more light sources, at least one of which can provide lighting when the normal lighting power supply fails.

 

According to function, it can be divided into two categories:

① Illumination type fixtures. Provide necessary lighting to corridors, exit passages, staircases, and potentially hazardous areas in the event of an accident.

② Signage type fixtures. Emergency lighting should clearly indicate exit and passageway directions, featuring text and illustrations. The brightness of the markings should be 7–10 cd/m², with text strokes at least 19 mm thick and at least 150 mm high. It should be viewable from a distance of 30 m, and the translucent text should have a high contrast with the background.

Emergency lighting consists of a light source, battery (or storage battery), lamp body, and electrical components. Emergency lights using gas discharge light sources such as fluorescent lamps also include a converter and its ballast.
